Uplands Village is home to more than 300 diverse people who bring an astonishing range of experiences and backgrounds, united by a shared belief that retirement living can not only allow but expand opportunities to live lives of commitment in the service of others. You define your own retirement lifestyle at Uplands Village, where the campus is dotted with all the amenities you'd expect to enjoy in most retirement communities. Within a scenic drive Uplands is nestled between two metropolitan areas including Nashville the country music capital of the world and Knoxville the home of The University of Tennessee. The unique character of Uplands Village carries over into the incredible variety of living choices that are available to our members. You will see an architecturally diverse range of private homes as beautifully individual as their owners, for Uplands Village has no pre-described look or set of plans. Each home offers you a distinctive style filled with a host of quality amenities. We offer single family homes and duplexes….we even have two geodesic domes in our community! You may choose to purchase an existing house or duplex, or opt to build your own home in the neighborhood of your choice. Many members take special pride in maintaining small flower gardens adjacent to their homes, and the pleasure of these sweet scents and colorful blooms are shared by all. Others grow fruits and vegetables in their home gardens or in the communal garden, and the fruits of their labors are often shared with neighbors and friends.
